Short Game Golf School at Furman

The fastest way to lower scores!

One of the quickest ways to improve your scores is to gain confidence and consistency with your short game. Approach shots, chips, pitches and green reading are some of the key components to this aspect of the game. This 3½ hour short game school will assist you in developing your touch and technique around the greens. Your ability will quickly improve with respect to club selection, shot visualization and creativity. This school is recommended for all skill levels. Participants will be grouped by skill level. There will be an 8 person maximum in this school. (Two instructors on hand for a small teacher/student ratio) This is a Saturday morning class. Cost: $195 per person

Beginner Women’s Clinic Series at Furman

This program is designed for the woman golfer that has very little or no golfing experience. These sessions will cover areas such as putting, chipping, pitching, setup, full swing, sand play, as well as rules and etiquette. They will include 4 - 1hr clinics and will be held on Monday evenings from 5 to 6 pm. There will be a 12 person maximum in this clinic. (Two instructors on hand for a small teacher/student ratio) Cost: $125 per person Dates: Time: Monday 5 pm to 6 pm

Intermediate Golfer Clinic Series at Furman

This program is designed for the golfer wanting to understand more about scoring and how to improve their ball striking capabilities. This program will cover aspects of the full swing and short game while touching on the mental side of the game. Specialty shots will also be discussed during these clinics. They will include 4 - 1hr clinics and will be held on Friday evenings from 5-6pm. There will be a 12 person maximum in this clinic. (Two instructors on hand for a small teacher/student ratio)

Advanced Player On-Course Playing Lesson at Furman

This Playing lesson is designed for the advanced golfer that wants to learn how to manage the mental aspect around the golf course. This 2hr. hour session will cover several course management skills from how to read the greens, club selection, understanding “lay-up” yardage, uneven lies, and teeing area to choose. If you can truly learn how to “think” your way around the course the results will reflect much lower scores. This program will begin on the driving range for 20 minutes learning the difference between “warm-up” and “practice”. There will be a 3 person maximum in this package.
Cost: $150 (Includes cart, course fee, and range balls) per person

“Come One Come All….. Weekly Clinic at Furman”

“Open” Golf Instruction Evening at Furman….. Every Thursday evening from 5:30-6:30pm will be an “open” clinic. Each week a topic will be discussed from the full swing, short game, specialty shots, rules to etiquette. Once we discuss the topic you will be able to hit balls and practice with the help of your professional to guide you through all the questions you may have. This “open” clinic will have no maximum and range balls and professional help are included in the cost. There is a minimum of 5 golfers each week to conduct this clinic/practice session.
Cost: $25 per week per person (includes instruction and balls)

Weekly Junior Clinic Series at Furman

(Boys and Girls ages 7-17)
This progressive four week program introduces various shots around the green and advances to the full swing. Each clinic will address rules and etiquette. Instruction is presented in a non-competitive environment, with a creative and enthusiastic approach to learning. Appropriate for beginning and intermediate golfers, students are grouped according to skill level. Classes meet Thursday evenings at 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm for four weeks.
Cost: $80 for a 4 week series

Note: Thursday clinics are sold as a series and not as individual classes. Please plan to attend all scheduled classes in each series. Make up classes are not available.

Corporate Clinics Available

Make your charity or corporate golf event that much more memorable with a clinic by LPGA Tour teaching professional Jen Shillington. A clinic for the entire field would last an hour for just $5 per player. Or choose a 5 minute video lesson that would take place during dinner/lunch or prior to play.
